Maharishi Store

It's a great part of that milplus style that has been a staple in London and the UK. Milplus is a term I like to use military surplus but with Maharishi they added a real sense of style to clothing. Jackets, shirts and trousers would be tweeked to have embroidery or different patches or unusual custom camo to bring their style to life. This shop is big and had a very good range. The staff are passionate about the clothing so will be very helpful to your needs. I highly recommend here if you love milplus style. They had clothing to accessories to artwork and even cool skateboard decks. Well worth visiting. Enjoy

I don't expect amazing customer service everywhere, but verging on being impressed with the sheer level of rudeness and open contempt for paying customers. Visited a couple of weeks ago to buy a jacket picked out by a family member. I knew they had an event on and they were closing at 6pm rather than 7pm, so arrived at 5:30. Found staff gathered having a team meeting, who looked surprised to be interrupted by a customer. Over the noise of other colleagues members chatting, bashing ice into cubes for the event etc, the member of staff (understandably) struggled to understand that I was here to pick up a pre-selected item. At which point, another staff member (the manager?) cut across us, addressing me with a simple "What?", at which point her colleagues laughed (at me? The situation? Perhaps I should have asked, because I missed the joke). I explained again, at which point another, more helpful colleague said she'd go to retrieve the item - given no direction one way or another, I began to follow, only to be told "You're not allowed down here". Downstairs is normally just a regular part of the store displaying products, but I guess at this point it was reserved for event storage? Service somewhat improved after this, with a brief recognition that "things were a bit hectic". On the plus side, staff all looked very cool and to be having a good time. I guess they're not troubled by responsibilities like helping customers, which I genuinely think must be seen as incidental to their job description. Totally understand customer service can vary depending on circumstances, but being laughed at for being patient is certainly a new experience. It's one I don't fancy repeating, and won't risk so by shopping here - in theory a premium clothing brand - again.

Customer service is extremely bad. The lady who attended me was just interested in making a sale. She had no knowledge about man’s silhouette, telling me the fit of the clothes I tried was good on me, when it obviously wasn’t. Worse, she didn’t hesitate to lie to me so as to sell me a trouser, by telling me that XS size didn’t exist. When checking online, I saw that in fact it did exist….. This type of behavior is ok at H&M, not at a premium fashion brand store. Such poor behavior does harm the brand reputation.

Great shop very friendly staff. Picked item I wanted to try on,and within a few mins arrived. Why are other brands not like this one. Looking after the customer as soon as he,or her enters the shop must be the top priority of any brand,as the longer the customer is in your shop,then you got more chance of them buying your products. Was looked after as soon as I entered the shop,then until I left. Seems to be run by a very good management team. Keep up your great work,and see you soon.

Absolutely love this store. Always great quality garments using mostly organic material which actually justifies their prices unlike most brands. The staff here are super friendly and always makes a visit an enjoyable experience, most of them will go out their way to help you unlike other brands with their pretentious staff. As mentioned by the other reviews, their style is high-quality military/ utilitarian wear but does include a lot Asian influence with some garments heavy on the embroidery. Definitely worth a visit!
